What information do we collect?

The contact form asks for your first name, last name, and email address. It also records your permission to be contacted and the time of submission. If you contact us directly by email or telephone, we receive the information you choose to share with us.

Website and email service providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver and protect their services. The form uses a short-lived request counter to limit repeated submissions.

Why do we use your information?

We use your contact details to respond to your inquiry and discuss the services you have requested. Providing your details is voluntary. The online form requires your name, email address, and contact permission so that we can respond; you may instead contact us directly.

Submitting the contact form does not subscribe you to marketing emails. The website does not send an automatic confirmation email to you. A confirmation appears on screen only after the email service accepts your request for delivery.

Who processes your information?

Contact requests are addressed to Liza Maré at liza.mare@eveningflame.co.za. Cloudflare provides website hosting and request processing, and Resend provides email delivery. These providers process information needed to operate those services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law.

Website and email providers may process information outside South Africa. Their privacy information describes their processing locations and safeguards.

Security and retention

The website uses HTTPS to protect information in transit. The email API credential is held on the server and is not included in the form or browser code. The website does not create a separate contact database; submitted details and the permission record are included in the notification sent to Liza. Email and hosting providers may retain operational records under their own retention policies.

Inquiry correspondence should be retained only for as long as needed to handle the inquiry, any resulting relationship, and applicable legal obligations. Contact us to request deletion or to discuss what information is retained. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Cookies and external links

The website does not add advertising or analytics tracking. Hosting and security services may use cookies necessary for their operation. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling necessary cookies may affect some website functions.

The site includes links to external websites, including LinkedIn. Those websites have their own privacy policies and practices.

Your privacy rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), you may request access to your personal information, ask for incorrect information to be corrected, request deletion where applicable, object to processing, or withdraw your contact permission. Withdrawing permission does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
